Terms and Conditions of Participation

General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

1. Object and application of the terms and conditions

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) govern the relationship between arte binningen and participating artists. An organising committee (OC) is responsible for organising and running the exhibition. Decisions made by the OC are final and cannot be appealed. The GTC form part of every application.

2. Exhibits and exhibition space

Sculptures and Three-Dimensional Works:

Each participant is allocated an exhibition area measuring 4 m in length and approximately 1.5 m in width. Display plinths for exhibits (e.g. sculptures) are not provided by arte binningen.

Each participant is allocated display walls measuring 4 × 2.5 m (front wall) and 1 × 2.5 m (side wall). Works must not be hung one above another, except for small-format works. The sides of stretched canvases must be painted. Only works up to 80 cm wide may be hung on the side wall. Any exceptions must be requested in writing and approved by the OC.
